Ceefax Holidays arrives at the teletext archive

Teletext archaeologist Jason Robertson (@grim_fandango) has uncovered a rare example of Ceefax’s much-celebrated holidays section. This service predates Teletext Holidays by many years, though ORACLE did run their own holiday pages in the 1980s.

Jason has only posted the above screenshot thus far, but all pages from this service, dated 1 April 1987, will soon be online at the Teletext Art archive and his own recovery archive. Check back soon for the rest!

Edit: this recovery has been halted indefinitely due to… er… well, check the date of this post, dear reader. 😉
