The community teletext Advent calendar will be returning for December 2023, and we’re accepting submissions now!
Last year’s event was broadcast across Finland on Yle Text, and this year we hope to reach a wider audience by exhibiting on teletext services in more countries.
Confirmed so far: Yle Text (Finland), ARD Text (Germany), ORF Teletext (Austria)
Guidelines
1. Your entry can be anything seasonal! See some of our previous Advent calendars for inspiration. We are primarily looking for subjects found on a traditional Advent calendar.
2. We will accept these formats:
3. You can also enter as many artworks as you like, but bear in mind that we are aiming for one artwork per artist per day. Extra artworks may be shown at the services’ discretion.
4. We request that since the artworks will be shown on non-English language services, you keep English text to a minimum.
5. Be aware that when pages are broadcast on teletext services, the header and fastext rows are overwritten, so try not to use them in your art.
6. Level 1/1.5 Teletext only for this project – Yle does not support Level 2.5 (the one with the extra colours).
7. No copyrighted characters, please!
